Согласованный фильтр, реализующий эту процедуру является основным блоком станции, определяет главные характеристики РЛС: точность измерения, разрешающую способность, зону обзора по дальности, помехозащищенность. Согласованная фильтрация позволяет повысить дальность обнаружения целей при сохранении высокой разрешающей способности по дальности, а также обеспечить прием отраженных сигналов от быстролетящих целей.
