Product Import Report

Use Product Import Report to review product import batches for the selected company workspace.

This page is a report page. It helps you inspect what happened during product import, which rows succeeded, which rows failed, and what must be fixed before the imported data can be trusted.

What the page is for

Open Company Workspace → Reports → Import report when you need to:

  • review product import history;
  • inspect validation errors from a product import;
  • understand which imported rows created or updated products;
  • download or review import results when available;
  • decide whether the source file, category template, attributes, units, brands, or identifiers must be corrected.

Product import needs prepared product rules

Before importing products, make sure the product model is ready:

  • product-level categories exist;
  • category templates and Effective Templates are active;
  • required attributes exist;
  • value lists and units are configured;
  • brands and product identifier namespaces are available when the file uses them;
  • the company plan and user permissions allow product import.

If those rules are missing, the import may fail or create incomplete products.

How to use the report

  1. Select the correct company workspace.
  2. Open Reports → Import report.
  3. Find the import batch or result you need.
  4. Review successful rows, failed rows, warnings, and validation messages.
  5. Fix the source file or Actualog setup.
  6. Run the import again only after the blocking errors are understood.
  7. Use Products overview to review the resulting products.

Common import problems

  • The file references a category that is not product-level.
  • A required attribute is missing.
  • A value is not allowed by the category template or dictionary.
  • A numeric value has an unknown or incompatible unit.
  • The brand is not configured for the company.
  • A product identifier conflicts with an existing product.
  • The product is valid for an old template version but not for the current Effective Template.
