Company Profile
A Company Profile is the public page for one company in Actualog. It brings together the company's identity, description, contacts, capabilities, category relationships, example products, communities, team, catalogs, and public assets.
The Company Profile is different from Company Workspace. The profile explains a company to visitors. Company Workspace is the signed-in operational area where an authorized member manages products, catalogs, categories, users, integrations, and subscription settings for the selected company.
Header and actions
The page header shows the company logo, company name, and verification badge when the profile is verified.
Depending on your session and permissions, the header can also show:
- Favorite to follow the company;
- Edit to update the company profile;
- History to review recorded company changes;
- Send Message to contact the company through Actualog;
- View Company as the public-profile context label.
Profile tabs
The Company Profile can contain these tabs:
- Overview — description, contacts, capabilities, communities, facets, and team summary;
- Categories — categories connected to the company and the company's role in them;
- Products — public products associated with the company;
- Catalogs — public company catalogs;
- Assets — public media and data assets associated with the company;
- Team — people publicly connected to the company;
- Followers — users following the company;
- History — recorded profile and relationship changes available to the current viewer.
Tabs can be empty when the company has not published that type of information.
Overview sections
About
The overview begins with the company's localized description. This is the place to explain what the company does, the markets it serves, and its principal products or services.
Contacts
The Contacts section can show the company's location, phone, public email, and website. These are public profile fields, so they should contain business contact information intended for visitors.
Capabilities
Capabilities are based on the company's category relationships. A capability card can show:
- a category in which the company works;
- the company's relationship role, such as Manufacturer or Distributor;
- example public products from that category;
- a link to explore more related products.
A capability does not create a product and does not make the company the owner of every product in that category. It describes an explicit company-category relationship.
Communities and facets
The page can show communities connected to the company and the facets used to describe its activity inside those communities.
Team
The Team section shows users whose company relationship is public. User management permissions and invitations are managed in Company Workspace, not on the public profile.
Who can edit the profile
The page is public, but editing is permission-controlled.
The Edit action is available to:
- an Application Administrator;
- a Company Administrator for this company;
- the original company creator while the company still has no Company Administrator and the creator remains connected to the company.
Ordinary membership does not automatically grant profile-edit permission.
Verification
A verified badge indicates that Actualog has accepted the company's profile identity and contact evidence. Editing identity or contact fields can require verification to be checked again. A non-admin editor can preserve verified status only when the user's verified email matches the company website domain.
Find a Company Profile
Search for the company by name and open its result. When you ask Hex about a named company, Hex can resolve that company and provide the verified profile URL.
